A summer in the mountains of the Allgäu – it’s simply unique. The landscape offers picture-postcard views of mountain peaks set against a Bavarian white-and-blue sky. Lush green meadows and forests, deep blue streams, rivers and lakes. When the sun is shining, the crickets are chirping, cowbells are jingling and the sound of an alphorn echoes across the valley from afar, it’s simply perfect.
The best way to experience this paradise is outdoors: cycling or hiking, swimming or enjoying water sports in the region’s lakes, or teeing off on the golf courses. Is there anything better than enjoying the view from the terrace of an alpine hut with a cool drink and home-cooked food? Perhaps the unforgettable atmosphere of standing on a mountain peak as the sun rises or sets, or as the full moon bathes the mountain silhouettes in a soft silvery light.
