Late summer and autumn. Perhaps the most beautiful time of year in the Allgäu mountains. How wonderful when the leaves of the deciduous trees change colour and the golden October with its play of colours invites you to go hiking again. Then a little nostalgia gradually returns, the sun loses its vigour, the days become noticeably shorter, fruit and vegetables are harvested. At the cattle drive, the animals return to the valley after their summer retreat on the alpine pastures. The Alps are made ready for winter, and down in the valleys people are also preparing for the quiet time of regeneration. Wisps of mist waft atmospherically over the streams, rivers and lakes, conjuring up a fascinating atmosphere. After activities outside in the refreshing air, which perhaps already smells of snow, it’s time to retreat: into cosy, warm rooms, with a hot cup of tea or coffee, a piece of cake, a good book and a cosy woollen blanket. Time to do something good for yourself: take a sauna and a bath in the Aquaria, enjoy a massage, for example.
