Winter magic in the Allgäu mountains. Mother Hulda has wrapped the landscape in a white dress. Ski slopes and toboggan runs are groomed, cross-country ski trails are freshly prepared. The snow crunches under your shoes as you go for a walk. It trickles from the trees in the forest. The sun’s rays refract in ice crystals and icicles. In Oberstaufen Park, guests skate round the ice rink and snowmen are built next door. At dusk, fairy lights and candles bathe the village in a warm sea of light. What a magical atmosphere! Time for hot tea, cocoa or mulled wine, a good book, parlour games and stimulating conversation. And to round off the day: swim in the Aquaria, take a sauna and enjoy a soothing massage.
